Frequently Asked Questions
Why choose EASE
Is EASE made in Australia?
Yes. EASE whey isolate and collagen protein powder is formulated and manufactured in Australia by an established sports nutrition manufacturer with over a decade of experience.
Australia doesn't produce commercial-grade whey protein isolate domestically — most Australian protein brands source their WPI internationally. What matters is the grade of isolate selected, and what happens to it here: formulation, quality control, and manufacturing under Australian food safety standards.
Every ingredient and dose is disclosed on the label so you can verify exactly what's in the product.
Why does EASE have more recovery benefits than other protein powders?
Most protein powders only support muscle recovery. EASE supports three recovery systems in one serve.
Whey protein isolate delivers 26g of protein and 5.3g of BCAAs for muscle recovery. Bioactive collagen peptides (5g per serve at 3kDa molecular weight) support joint health. Actazin® kiwifruit extract and PhytoBiome® prebiotic fibre promote digestive comfort so recovery nutrition doesn't come with bloating or gut issues.
No other protein powder in Australia that we're aware of combines whey protein isolate with joint-specific collagen and dedicated gut health ingredients in a single serve.
How often can you drink EASE?
EASE is designed to be taken daily. The recommended quantity is one to two serves per day (35-70g of powder, delivering 26-52g of protein).
One serve a day covers a meaningful portion of your daily protein needs alongside whole foods. A second serve suits heavier training days or higher protein targets.
EASE is a supplement, not a meal replacement. Use it alongside a balanced diet as part of your daily routine.
Why are some protein powders so much cheaper than others?
Usually because of what's been left out.
Cheaper protein powders use whey concentrate — lower protein per scoop, more lactose, more fat, and harder for your body to absorb. They fill the gap with artificial sweeteners, thickeners, and generic ingredients that look good on a label but don't do anything specific.
EASE uses whey protein isolate, three specialty ingredients with published research behind each one, and discloses every ingredient and dose on the label. You're paying for what's in the scoop, not what's been stripped out of it.
What protein powder ingredients should I avoid?
Artificial sweeteners like sucralose and aspartame, thickeners like xanthan gum and guar gum, fillers like maltodextrin and erythritol, soy protein, added sugars, hydrogenated oils, and proprietary blends that hide what's actually in the scoop. Also watch for amino spiking — cheap amino acids added to inflate protein numbers on the label.
EASE contains none of these. No artificial sweeteners, no added sugar, no soy, no thickeners, no fillers, no erythritol, no maltodextrin. Naturally flavoured and sweetened with monk fruit extract. Every ingredient is named and dosed on the label — no proprietary blends, no inflated protein numbers.
If you can't identify what an ingredient does, ask why it's there.
Choosing the right recovery protein
What's the difference between whey isolate and whey concentrate?
Whey concentrate typically contains 70-80% protein with higher levels of lactose, fat, and carbohydrates. Whey isolate is further filtered to remove most of the lactose and fat, resulting in a purer protein that's faster to absorb and easier to digest.
EASE uses whey protein isolate — cross-flow microfiltered, over 90% protein purity, with less than 0.25g of residual lactose per serve. If you've experienced bloating or discomfort from whey concentrate, the difference isn't marketing. It's filtration.
What protein is necessary for muscle growth?
Your body needs all nine essential amino acids to build muscle, and the most effective way to get them is through a complete protein source with a high concentration of branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) — particularly leucine, which triggers muscle protein synthesis.
Most active adults need 1.6-2.2g of protein per kilogram of body weight per day. One serve of EASE delivers 26g of complete protein with 5.3g of BCAAs from whey protein isolate — one of the highest bioavailability protein sources available.
Most people don't hit their daily target through food alone. One scoop closes the gap in 30 seconds.
Is collagen protein powder as good as whey isolate?
No. Collagen and whey isolate are different proteins that do different jobs.
Whey protein isolate is a complete protein — all nine essential amino acids, high in BCAAs, fast-absorbing. It's the gold standard for muscle recovery. Collagen is not a complete protein and won't drive muscle protein synthesis on its own.
What collagen does that whey can't is support joint cartilage and connective tissue. But not all collagen is the same — generic collagen at 10-15kDa is optimised for skin and hair. EASE uses bioactive collagen peptides at 3kDa, specifically selected for joint tissue absorption.
EASE doesn't replace whey with collagen. It delivers 26g of protein per serve, predominantly from whey protein isolate, with 5g of joint-specific collagen peptides. Muscle recovery and joint recovery in one serve — that's what recover completely actually looks like.
How much protein is in a scoop of EASE?
26g of protein from whey protein isolate and bioactive collagen peptides, with 5.3g of BCAAs per serve. One 35g scoop in 250ml of cold water or milk.
The whey isolate is cross-flow microfiltered — over 90% protein purity, low lactose, fast-absorbing. The collagen peptides contribute to the total protein count while supporting joint health.
74% protein by weight. No fillers making up the difference.
Why EASE is easier to digest
Why does protein powder cause bloating?
Most protein powders use whey concentrate, which contains higher levels of lactose and fat — the two most common triggers for bloating, gas, and digestive discomfort. Artificial sweeteners like sucralose and thickeners like xanthan gum make it worse.
EASE is formulated to eliminate these triggers. Whey protein isolate with less than 0.25g of residual lactose per serve. A lactase enzyme to assist digestion. Naturally sweetened with monk fruit extract. No thickeners, no fillers.
Then it goes further — Actazin® kiwifruit extract contains actinidin, a natural protease that helps break down protein in the gut, and PhytoBiome® prebiotic fibre nourishes the gut microbiome. Most protein powders try to avoid causing gut problems. EASE is formulated to actively support digestive comfort.
If protein has been uncomfortable for you in the past, the issue was likely the product, not the protein.
Do you need digestive enzymes in protein powder?
It depends on why they're there.
Most protein powders add a generic enzyme blend (protease, amylase, lipase, lactase) to help your body break down a formula that's hard to digest in the first place. High-lactose whey concentrate, artificial sweeteners, thickeners. The enzymes aren't a feature. They're a workaround.
EASE takes a different approach. Start with ingredients that don't cause the problem: whey protein isolate, monk fruit extract, no thickeners, no fillers. Then add two targeted enzymes for two specific jobs.
Actinidin, a natural protease found in Actazin® kiwifruit extract, helps break down protein in the gut. Lactase breaks down the small amount of residual lactose in whey isolate.
Two enzymes. One job. Making sure your protein is digested without causing irritation.
What is the best protein powder for a sensitive stomach?
The best protein powder for a sensitive stomach is one formulated to be digested easily, not one where "easy on the gut" is an afterthought. That means low lactose, no artificial sweeteners, and built-in digestive support rather than a clean label with nothing to actually help digestion.
EASE is built around this principle. Whey protein isolate with less than 0.25g residual lactose per serve, naturally sweetened with monk fruit extract, and formulated with Actazin® kiwifruit extract, PhytoBiome® prebiotic fibre, and a dedicated lactase enzyme. Every ingredient that touches your gut was chosen deliberately, not just for what it delivers nutritionally, but for how your body processes it.
Why does EASE use kiwifruit extract?
EASE contains Actazin®, a clinically studied green kiwifruit extract that supports digestive comfort and promotes healthy bowel function. Unlike generic fibre supplements, Actazin® works through natural enzyme activity (actinidin) that assists protein breakdown in the gut.
This matters in a protein powder because incomplete protein digestion is one of the primary causes of bloating and discomfort. Actazin® helps your body process the 26g of protein per serve more efficiently, so it's absorbed rather than sitting in your digestive system. It's one of three digestive support ingredients in EASE, alongside PhytoBiome® prebiotic fibre and a dedicated lactase enzyme.
Why does EASE contain prebiotic fibre?
PhytoBiome® is a prebiotic sugarcane fibre blend included in EASE to nourish beneficial gut bacteria and support long-term digestive health. Each serve delivers 3.2g of dietary fibre, contributing to your daily fibre intake while supporting microbiome balance.
Where Actazin® kiwifruit extract supports active digestion (breaking down protein as you consume it), PhytoBiome® works on the environment: feeding the good bacteria in your gut so your digestive system functions better over time. The two ingredients complement each other, covering both immediate digestive comfort and ongoing gut health.
Will EASE help with bloating from other foods?
EASE is formulated to support the digestion of its own protein content, not to act as a standalone digestive supplement. The Actazin® kiwifruit extract, PhytoBiome® prebiotic fibre, and lactase enzyme are dosed to work with the 26g of protein and other ingredients in each serve.
That said, the prebiotic fibre in PhytoBiome® contributes to overall gut health by supporting beneficial bacteria, which may have broader digestive benefits over time with consistent use. If you experience bloating from a wide range of foods, it's worth consulting a healthcare professional to identify the underlying cause.
How is EASE different from other "gut-friendly" protein powders?
Most "gut-friendly" protein powders earn that label by removing things: no lactose, no gluten, no artificial sweeteners. That's a clean label, but it doesn't actively support digestion. EASE removes those same irritants and then adds targeted digestive ingredients: Actazin® kiwifruit extract for protein breakdown, PhytoBiome® prebiotic fibre for microbiome support, and a lactase enzyme for residual lactose.
The difference is built-in versus cleaned-up. A protein powder with fewer irritants is better than one loaded with them, but a formula that actively supports how your body processes protein is a different category entirely. Three digestive ingredients, each with a specific role, working alongside the protein rather than bolted on as an afterthought.
Do I still need a prebiotic supplement if I take EASE?
EASE contains 3.2g of dietary fibre per serve, primarily from PhytoBiome® prebiotic sugarcane fibre. PhytoBiome® nourishes the gut microbiome by feeding beneficial bacteria, and is supported by published research on digestive health and bowel regularity.
For many people, that's a meaningful prebiotic dose built into their daily protein serve. One less product to buy and remember. If your current prebiotic is serving a general gut health purpose, EASE may cover that ground.
If you're taking a specific prebiotic at a higher dose for a diagnosed condition or on practitioner advice, keep taking it. EASE complements rather than replaces targeted supplementation. There are no known interaction concerns between PhytoBiome® and common prebiotic or probiotic supplements.
If you're unsure, consult your healthcare professional or a dietitian.
How collagen works in a protein powder
Do I need collagen if I already take protein powder?
You don't need collagen to build muscle, but standard protein powder doesn't do anything for your joints. Whey and plant proteins provide amino acids for muscle recovery. Collagen peptides provide different amino acids (glycine, proline, hydroxyproline) that support joint cartilage and connective tissue. They're different proteins with different jobs.
Most people who want both end up buying two separate products. EASE combines 26g of protein per serve, predominantly from whey protein isolate, with 5g of bioactive collagen peptides selected specifically for joint health. One scoop covers muscle recovery and joint support without stacking supplements.
What type of collagen is best for joint health?
The most commonly referenced collagen for joints is Type II (found in cartilage), but hydrolysed Type I collagen peptides at low molecular weight are also clinically studied for joint health. The key factor isn't just the type number: it's peptide size and how effectively they're absorbed.
Generic collagen powders are typically 10-15kDa, large molecules that may support skin and general wellness but aren't optimised for joint tissue. EASE contains hydrolysed bovine collagen peptides at approximately 3kDa (3,000 Daltons), small enough to be absorbed and utilised by joint cartilage and connective tissue. This is the molecular weight used in peer-reviewed studies on joint health.
When comparing collagen for joints, look beyond the type label. Ask about peptide size, hydrolysis process, and whether the product has been substantiated for the claim it's making.
Can a protein powder actually support joint health?
Most protein powders can't. Standard whey, casein, and plant proteins deliver amino acids for muscle recovery, but none of them have a direct mechanism for joint support. If a protein powder doesn't contain collagen or a joint-specific ingredient, it's not doing anything for your joints.
EASE is different. Each serve includes 5g of bioactive collagen peptides at 3kDa molecular weight, a specific peptide profile that peer-reviewed research has associated with joint health benefits. It's not general-purpose collagen added as a marketing claim. It's a targeted ingredient, at a studied dose, selected to support joint cartilage and connective tissue alongside your protein.
Your muscles recover. Your joints recover with them. That's what "Recover Completely" means.
How much collagen per day do you need for joint health?
Peer-reviewed studies on hydrolysed collagen peptides and joint health have used doses between 2.5g and 15g per day. EASE delivers 5g per serve, a clinically relevant daily dose for joint support.
The dose matters, but so does the quality. EASE uses bioactive collagen peptides at approximately 3kDa molecular weight, small enough for effective absorption by joint tissue. A higher dose of poorly hydrolysed collagen at 10-15kDa won't necessarily outperform a well-processed peptide at 3kDa.
Consistency also matters. Research suggests joint health benefits from collagen supplementation typically appear after sustained daily use, not from occasional servings.
Does collagen in protein powder help with skin and hair?
The bioactive collagen peptides in EASE are formulated and substantiated for joint health, not skin or hair. That's the claim we make and the research we've completed.
Hydrolysed collagen peptides are widely used in products targeting skin, hair, and nail health, and the amino acids they provide (glycine, proline, hydroxyproline) do play a role in those tissues. But we haven't substantiated skin or hair claims for EASE, so we won't make them.
What we can say is that if you're already inclined to take collagen for those reasons, getting 5g of bioactive collagen peptides in your daily protein serve means one less product in your routine. You're getting joint support built into your protein, and any broader benefits come as part of that.
Should I take a separate collagen supplement if I use EASE?
It depends on what your current collagen supplement does and at what dose. EASE delivers 5g of bioactive collagen peptides per serve, specifically selected for joint health. If your existing collagen supplement covers the same territory at a similar dose, EASE may replace it entirely.
If you're taking collagen at a higher dose for a different purpose (for example, 10-15g per day for skin), EASE supplements rather than replaces it. You'll still get 5g of joint-targeted collagen in your protein serve, reducing the total amount you need from a standalone product.
Either way, you're consolidating: one product delivering both protein and collagen instead of two products doing one job each.
Whether EASE fits your diet
Is EASE safe for lactose intolerance?
EASE contains less than 0.25g of residual lactose per serve and includes a lactase enzyme in the formulation to further assist digestion. For most people with lactose intolerance, that's well below the threshold that causes symptoms.
The reason is the protein source. EASE uses whey protein isolate, which is filtered to remove most of the lactose and fat — resulting in >90% protein purity. That's a different product from whey concentrate, which retains higher levels of lactose and is the usual cause of bloating and discomfort.
That said, individual tolerance varies. If you have a severe lactose intolerance or a diagnosed milk allergy (which is different from lactose intolerance), consult your healthcare professional before use. EASE contains milk as a declared allergen.
Is whey protein isolate gluten-free?
Yes. EASE is gluten-free. Whey protein isolate is derived from milk, not grains, so it's naturally free from gluten. None of the other ingredients in the formulation contain gluten.
If you have coeliac disease or severe gluten sensitivity, always check both the ingredient list and any facility-level allergen statements before purchasing a new protein powder.
Are EASE ingredients Halal & Kosher?
EASE is formulated with Halal and Kosher accredited ingredients. That means the raw materials meet Halal and Kosher standards — which is different from a whole-product certification from a certifying body. If whole-product Halal or Kosher certification is important to you, that distinction matters.
Is EASE suitable for vegetarians or vegans?
No. EASE contains whey protein isolate (derived from milk) and hydrolysed bovine collagen peptides, so it's not suitable for vegans or strict vegetarians.
That said, several ingredients in the formulation are plant-derived: Actazin® (green kiwifruit extract), PhytoBiome® (prebiotic sugarcane fibre), acacia gum, monk fruit extract, and cocoa powder. The protein sources are animal-based. The digestive support and flavour systems are not.
If you consume dairy and are comfortable with bovine collagen, EASE may suit your dietary approach. If you need a fully plant-based protein, it's not the right fit.
What allergens does EASE contain?
Contains: Milk, Kiwifruit.
EASE contains whey protein isolate (derived from milk), Actazin® green kiwifruit powder, and hydrolysed bovine collagen peptides. It contains residual lactose (<0.25g per serve) and milk proteins.
It is not suitable for those with a milk allergy. If you have a kiwifruit allergy, do not use this product.
EASE is gluten-free. It is formulated with Halal and Kosher accredited ingredients.
You are responsible for reviewing the full ingredient list on the product label and on this website before purchasing. If you have any food allergies or intolerances, consult your healthcare professional before use.
How much protein powder is safe to take per day?
For EASE, the recommended one-day quantity is 1 to 2 servings (35-70g of powder, delivering 26-52g of protein). This is the directed daily quantity under its FSSF classification.
More broadly, protein powder is a food not a therapeutic good. Your total daily protein should come from a mix of whole foods and supplements. Most sports nutrition guidelines suggest 1.6-2.2g of protein per kg of body weight per day from all sources combined.
If you have a medical condition or are taking medication, consult your healthcare professional before starting any supplement.
Using EASE day-to-day
What does EASE taste like?
Rich natural chocolate. Not artificial, not overly sweet. EASE uses monk fruit extract as its sole sweetener, so there's no sucralose aftertaste or chemical finish.
It's designed to taste good in water, not just milk. Most protein powders need milk to mask the flavour. EASE doesn't.
Why drink a protein shake after a workout?
After training, your muscles are primed for protein absorption and recovery. That's when a protein shake does its best work. Closing the gap between breakdown and repair.
One serve of EASE after a workout delivers 26g of protein for muscle recovery, 5g of bioactive collagen peptides for joint support, and Actazin® + PhytoBiome® for digestive comfort. Three recovery systems in one serve, when your body needs them most.
If you take two serves per day (the maximum recommended one-day quantity), a second serve works well as an afternoon recovery and satiety top-up. The best time is the time you'll actually do consistently.
Can I add EASE to baking or smoothies?
Yes. Whey protein isolate is heat-stable for most cooking applications. The protein doesn't degrade at typical baking temperatures. EASE's natural chocolate flavour works well in smoothies, overnight oats, protein pancakes, and baked goods.
Keep in mind that heat may affect the activity of the lactase enzyme included in the formulation, so the digestive benefit is strongest when mixed cold. For cooking applications, the protein delivery is unchanged. Only the enzyme activity is affected.
How many serves are in one bag of EASE?
Approximately 14 serves per 490g bag, at 35g per serve.
At one serve per day (35g), a 490g bag lasts approximately two weeks. At two serves per day, one week. Most people finish a bag well before freshness is a concern.
How long does EASE last once opened?
EASE is a dry powder product. As a general rule, once opened, it should be consumed within three to six months for best quality, as long as the pouch is properly resealed and stored correctly.
There's no separate "use within X days of opening" rule. The resealable stand-up pouch re-establishes a physical barrier after every scoop, and the silica gel packet inside actively absorbs moisture between uses to keep the powder free-flowing and fresh.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight below 20°C. Reseal after use. Avoid storing near kettles or in bathrooms where moisture builds up. Leave the silica gel packet in the bag.
At one serve per day (35g), a 490g bag lasts approximately two weeks. At two serves per day, one week. Most people finish a bag well before freshness is a concern.
